Delicious Soba. Small restaurant. Friendly staff and great value.
Onsen egg is really really good! The size of soba is way more than Tokyo. Surprised. If you are not a food fighter, “rice ball and onsen egg set†is for you. Rice ball was really good, wish to have that for breakfast every morning. Ps, staff speaks good english and was really nice ; ))
This said to be a very famous Soba restaurant in Nozawa. Nothing wrong with the flavors and quality, but not impressive enough to wait in a long line. You be the judge~
Reservations recommended, this is one of the popular and tastiest places in town.
Delicious soba and udon meals at a reasonable price.
Fresh soba noodles that were delicious. There's usually a line, so go during off hours or eat early. Definitely worth the wait though.
Amazing Soba noodles in a small and cozy restaurant. Very friendly staff and very tasty noodles with fast service. Opens at 5:30 with no bookings available. I suggest getting there early as you will have to queue, only 4 tables inside. But service is so fast you don’t have wait long. It’s well worth the wait.
Really enjoyed the tempura soba and even more so the cold soba. I thought that was very unique to dip the soba noodles into the broth then eat them. All around it was a very delicious meal and I would go back again. One of the highlights was sitting at the communal table and interacting with locals with limited English. Great experiences!
There are only four tables in the shop - three four seaters and one large table. The place opens at 5:30pm and we had arrived at 5:35pm, and had to wait about half an hour for a table and there was a queue forming out the door. The soba and udon are so delicious! Wish we had eaten here more because the food is divine! The staff are really nice and spoke English, like most stores in Nozawa.
Small little restaurant in town (20-seater).The restaurant has a simple menu. They specialize in cold and hot soba and udon. The portions of the cold soba is quite generous. The tempura was quite good too. A place to try when in Nozawa Onsen!
The best soba and udon restuarant in town!
Business is good, seats are not large, dining spikes often have to waitThe taste of soba noodles is made into soup noodles. May not be accepted by children. Udon is also available. Personally think it is one of the choices to visit again
Great little place !!Quite a challenge to secure a table for a group, as it is very popular, ! Exceptional food and service, what a gem
Tasty food that was quite basic and filling. I wouldn't say it was anything amazing, but it did hit the spot after a long day in the snow. Customer service was good and they speak English which is great. The place was constantly pumping customers, both foreigners and locals.
Outstanding soba place, excellent food and authentic family restaurant.
Tasty meal! We had the Tororo soba and udon with onsen cooked eggs!!! We also had the soba ball dessert - it's like sticky mochi with a molasses syrup! Yum! Nice spot, right in town, easy to find on tourist map. Tororo soba: 950 yenUdon with mountain veg and added onsen egg: 1000Dessert: 350 yen
Always amazing food and service! The cold soba and tempura is the best I’ve had. It’s a must visit every time I’m in Nozawa.
It is a soba shop in the center of Nozawa Onsen village, it is always crowded!Soba is really delicious when you go to Nozawa Onsen. The tempura is also very delicious, especially the mushroom tempura that is very satisfying with the volume!Although it is a tourist destination, the price is a reasonable setting. We also sell some craft beers and order soba after enjoying a cup of beer while drinking delicious beer. The staff is very comfortable and the service is the best.
delicious soba with reasonable price but usually crowd.
Incredible authentic soba and udon. Tempura is the best I have had anywhere. Craft beers on tap as well. Highly recommend.
Simple udon place for a ski break lunch.
Cold bowls of hot food are very sweet.
Really nice soba. Try the egg with tempuraUsually there is a queue as the place is small. They have english menu and accept cards :)
This region of Japan is famous for having great soba noodles, and Sobadokoro was no exception. I tried a few versions of them here (including one with an onsen egg, which proved more a distraction from rather than a complement to the noodles) and all were excellent. I also enjoyed the handouts they had about the history of soba and how to best enjoy them.If you haven't had great soba noodles yet, definitely stop in here to broaden your ideas about what these noodles can be. If you HAVE already had a few bamboo mats of Nagano's cold soba, with radish, wasabi and dipping sauce, then while this food will still be delicious it won't necessarily be more-so than other places you've visited.
Reasonably priced sons noodles and tempura. Vegetarian options. Credit card ok. Non smoking. All food fresh and delicious.
Perfect lunch
Delicious soba in the heart of town with a lovely broth.
Absolutely delicious, Daimon is definitely my favourite place to eat in Nozawaonsen. The soba and udon is hand made. I heard the restaurant started in 1926 and has been in the same family since. Speaking of which, the family that runs the restaurant is very kind with excellent service. Can't wait to eat here again.
I thought it would be better if the noodles were thinner and a bit thicker personally. I think the atmosphere of the shop is good and the price is cheap for a sightseeing spot.
good
Good food. Not too many seats.
Friendly services. Good food.
Everything is modestly priced (around $10 per bowl). It was so good that I came back the second day to get the exact same dish. Highly recommend the Niku Soba. Also be sure to try the rice as it has all been grown locally and has a truly wonderful flavor.
Thought this was a good soba noodle restaurant and enjoied the meal. You can get Onsen egg in your soup which i think is a nice touch. The restaurant is very popular, so you have to check in several times to see if there is a table availabe - two people are allowed to wait in the restaurant. You can also reservert a table for 5.30 pm. This is the only time slot they allow reservations. I believe this restaurant has a high rank on TripAdvisor but you can find similar quality other places around nosawa, so don't think this is the only place to go.
Hits the spot in a cold day and tired legs from the snow. Staff spoke English and food is hearty and delicious. Don't come with expectations of Michelin star. It is just a down to earth soba/udon restaurant.
Favourite soba restaurant in the vicinity
Delicious!
Zenzaru soba is delicious! Soba is awesome and the tempura is mouth watering! Highly recommended!
Best Soba in Nozawaonsen! Ate here twice during our stay the soup is delicious and the tempura prawns were perfect!
Favorite soba shopTempura is crispy and delicious even if it has been left for too long
Good selection of soba variations, tempura and a few other bits. The star of course is the soba noodles
Very popular during the ski season - as everywhere is - and justifiably so. Excellent ramen. Really excellent.
Chill space and reasonable foods
Great place, you can’t book in advance and is first come first served. Only 4 tables (one big, 3 small), but if you are on 2 people and not using the whole table let the staff know that others can join you. Food is amazing, we arrived just after opening at 5:30 and got a table straight away but there was a line as we left
Food is ok
Awesome Ten Don and soba noddles
Cozumel simple menu of ramen and soba. 1000Y roughly a meal. Good fair food
